Michael Soderlund (RAY) sets World Record in M50-54 200m Backstroke

Michael Soderlund finished his week at the 2012 FINA Masters World Championships, in Riccione, Italy with Four Golds, One Silver and a WORLD RECORD. Not to surprising when you take a closer look at his background. Michael, who swims for the Stingrays Masters in Marietta, represented Sweden in the 1980, 1984 and 1988 Olympics. He has a BRONZE medal from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, thanks to the 3rd place finish of Sweden's Men's 4 X 100 Freestyle Relay. Michael also finished 6th in the 200 Backstroke at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. 

Pretty good week - hopefully Michael won't have to pay extra to check his luggage due to all the extra weight he'll be bringing back.
